An ‘Advanced News Writing Certificate’ will be issued upon completion of all courses listed above.
The Multimedia Journalism Certificate program introduces journalism skills using a range of modern delivery modes – web, video, still images and print. In addition to traditional news reporting, writing and editing, students will learn about photojournalism, multimedia storytelling, audio and video production. Students enrolled in the Multimedia Journalism Certificate program will learn the skills communication professionals will need for news organizations, nonprofits and business.

The Digital Journalism Certificate program prepares students to compete in an evolving media industry. Building on the journalism fundamentals of reporting, writing, and editing, the certificate provides focus to the use of the Internet and digital technology. Students will gain proficiency in Web content production, video production and editing, photography and photo editing, social media, search engine optimization (SEO), broadcast journalism and other current trends.
